DEPARTMENT HEAD - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS – MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, MORRIS COUNTY – The Township of Montville is looking for an outstanding leader and manager to oversee, on a full-time basis, its Department of Public Works. Montville Township is a community of approximately 19 square miles and 22,000 residents. Department Head is expected to play a very hands-on role in various parts of the operation. The successful candidate will manage all municipal public works operations including municipal facilities, roads, parks, trees, and fleet. The candidate will possess at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory and administrative leadership capacity in a responsible public works operation or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A successful candidate will possess a working knowledge of all applicable purchasing laws, play an active role in operational and capital budgeting and planning, and possess the ability to adapt to new programs and technologies as they emerge. A NJ Certified Public Works Manager (CPWM) is a requirement for this position. A NJ Certified Recycling Professional (CRP) is highly desired.
