MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE &
MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS (VFW) POST 5481
PRESS RELEASE - APRIL 2, 2020
Montville Township, NJ: As the Mayor and Township Committee, and members of Montville Township’s Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5481, we want to remind everyone that, we, as a nation, are going through some very trying and uncertain times, fighting this Coronavirus pandemic outbreak. We Americans must have faith that, together, as one, we shall prevail.
Throughout our history, we have persevered against many trying and uncertain times from our Independence, to the Civil War, through twoWorld Wars, and 9/11 - and now this pandemic outbreak.
During all these events, our American flag has remained a true symbol of our collective faith and spirit that we, as a people, can, and will persevere.

In honor of our American spirit, we have directed our staff to mount throughout our beautiful community the American flag to remind everyone what it symbolizes and to reinforce that, together, nothing will break our American faith and spirit.
We would also like to remind everyone, similar to 9/11 when we lost many of our citizens who were first responders, firefighters, and police officers, that when you see a nurse, first responder (EMT), physician, physician’s assistant, or anyone who works in the healthcare industry, that you thank them for their selfless dedication to their profession, but more importantly, to us, the American people, whom they are serving and protecting, and honor them like the true heroes we honored on 9/11.
