(New) Wed, Jan 28, 2:00 pm - The Township Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening, Jan 27th has been cancelled. All business that was scheduled for that meeting will be carried forward to the next regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Feb 10th at 8:00 pm.
Tue, Jan 27, 8:30 am - The statewide travel ban has been lifted. However, plowing operations are still in progress and icy conditions still exist. Please continue to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and use extra caution if you must drive. Also, remember to remove the snow from your vehicle before driving.
Township offices, the Senior and Youth Centers, the Animal Shelter, Library and Municipal Court are all closed today. There will be no Senior Lunch or Meals-on-Wheels today. All town operations will return on their normal schedule on Wednesday, January 28th.
Tue, Jan 27, 1:00 am The National Weather Service updated their Winter Storm Warning for our area at 12:27 this morning. Although the effects of the storm are substantially reduced from the original forecasts, the travel restrictions indicated below remain in effect.
Mon, Jan 26, 11:00 pm - The state Director of Emergency Management has issued an Administrative Order restricting travel throughout the state effective at 11:00 pm on January 26 and lasting until further notice. With limited exceptions that are listed in the order, all vehicles are to remain off all roads in the state until conditions permit and the order is lifted.
Mon, Jan 26, 2:00 pm - Based on the Governor's Declaration of Emergency, the town offices are closing at 2:00 pm this afternoon and will remain closed tomorrow, Jan 27th.
The Township Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at a later date.
There will be no garbage pickup on Tuesday, Jan 27th
All Recreation Department activities are also cancelled for Monday and Tuesday.
The town Library will close at 3:30 pm on Monday and probably remain closed on Tuesday.
Mon, Jan 26, 12:00 am - The National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ has issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook and Winter Storm Warning on Sunday, January 25th that are in effect from late Sunday night through 6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27th. Snow accumulations could be as much as 24 inches during that time.
Please take all necessary precautions for your safety and the safety of others, including:
- Stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
- Remove all vehicles from the roadway to assist with snow clearing and to allow emergency vehicles to pass.
- If you have a fire hydrant on your property, clear snow at least 3 feet around it.
- Prepare early for heavy snow and high winds.
