Community Dispute Resolution Committee Print E-mail

This is a committee comprised of appointed Montville Township residents who mediate citizen disputes, such as harassment and some local ordinance violations.

The members must apply to serve on the Committee by way of application which is submitted to the Morris County Assignment Judge for approval.  Afterwards, if approved to serve on the Committee, they must complete a training program provided by the Municipal Division in Morris County.

The Committee must have no less then 3 members present to hear a case.  Once the case is heard, a consent form is signed by all parties, as well as the Committee members, and the paperwork is given to the Court.  If all parties agree to a resolution, the case is dismissed.  If no resolution is agreed upon, it will be heard in Court before the Judge.
