PLANNING BUSINESS

1. Residential Impact Fee discussion

The committee discussed the residential development fee ordinance proposed at 1%. The analysis of hypothetical scenarios that illustrated what the revenue would have been had the impact fee been in place in 2009 and 2010 based on the assessor’s added assessment list.  revealed that at the 1% rate, should the building trend continue at a similar rate, the projected costs of $560,000 for the fourteen (14) required units to be rehabbed is likely to be collected.

The subcommittee members unanimously voted to recommend to the full Planning Board that the ordinance should be referred to the Township Committee with the recommended rate of 1% for new residential construction for adoption. 

2. Zoning Ordinance revisions discussion

Continued discussion of proposed revisions to zoning ordinance including conditional uses, accessory structures, and coverage. 

3. Open Space and Recreation Plan Update - Trails Plan

Subcommittee agreed to schedule a June 28 2011 meeting to discuss.

There being no further business to discuss the meeting was recessed at 7:28 p.m. and reconvened at the conclusion of the meeting of the full Planning Board at 8:30 p.m.
