PLANNING BUSINESS

The subcommittee and professionals had a discussion regarding proposed coverage, permitted uses and streetscape ordinance.

Issue 1 -The timeline for completion of the draft ordinance includes additional meetings to complete draft by end of September.  Mr. Burgis indicates two additional meetings should be necessary. Thursday August 4 at 8 a.m. is the next proposed date.  Ms. Hunscher will send an e-mail.

Issue 2 - Mr. Burgis indicates that the ordinance on affordable housing will be retained and changed as necessary in 2012 following NJ Supreme Court decision.

Issue 3 - The committee discussed outstanding issues highlighted in Mr. Burgis progress report memo.

Adjourn 7:26 p.m. to attend regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting

Reconvened at 9 p.m.

Mr. Lewis asked that all subcommittee members to affirm inclusion of the streetscape provisions, previously in memo an policy form, into the zoning ordinance, which they did unanimously.  Mr. Omland, Engineer for the Planning Board, highlighted policy issues based on his 2007 memo.  Mr. Omland discussed specific recommendations and suggested define area for streetscape as area between road and building.  This would include curbing, sidewalk, lighting, shade trees.

There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
