PLANNING BUSINESS

Issue 1 - Mr. Lewis requested a progress report from Mr. Burgis as to status of zoning ordinance review.  Next subcommittee meeting will be evening of July 28 at 7 p.m. to discuss coverage and permitted uses and also streetscape ordinance. 

Issue 2 - The subcommittee members indicated that they reviewed the revisions to the Open Space Update - Trails Plan and are satisfied with the changes.  Ms. Hunscher will forward the memo to the subcommittee and then to the full board.

Issue 3 - Lake Recreation District.  Mr. Burgis presented his recommendations for consideration by the subcommittee.  Ms. Hunscher laid out the plan currently before the Board of Adjustment so that the subcommittee could see the expansion, mainly patio areas that were constructed without approvals.  The subcommittee agreed to consider acknowledging the site as-is and prepare setbacks consistent with the current situation of the building and allow all existing recreation-related accessory uses currently in the front yard to be grandfathered, but that no new accessory uses could be constructed.  Screening for parking was discussed.  Discussion will continue on this area once Mr. Burgis presents subcommittee with proposed bulk standards and permitted activities and uses.
