MINUTES
OF SEPTEMBER 21, 2011

Meeting began promptly at 7:33pm.
ROLL CALL:

Present: Vic Canning, Michele Caron, Larry
Kornreich, Garry Annibal, , Andrew Pappachen
committee reports
Board of
Adjustment – Michele Caron reports that the old Towaco Center
development has been withdrawn and dismissed.
Board of
Education – Hugh Merritt absent.
Economic
Development – Larry Kornriech reports that Monica did attend the meeting. The Changebridge
Road businesses that were damaged in the flood may
not rebuild which is a concern. There
are state and federal monies available for them. Q-Glass re-facing is completed and looks great. There is a grocer who may be interested in
property in the Township.
Health
Department – Garry Annibal reports that the Board of Health did the 2nd
qtr test on the turf and tests came back negative. There were a number of
drinking water complaints. Some water was
purchased from Jersey City Water Works.
If more development is done there may be a shortage of drinking
water. There were 17 applications for
business review.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION

CORRESPONDENCE
Carlson Tool Property has completed the environmental
cleanup.
MINUTES
On a motion made by Michele Caron and seconded by Vic
Canning, the August 16, 2011 minutes were approved by voice vote.
OLD BUSINESS
ENVIRONMENTAL HANDBOOK – No update.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESOURCES INVENTORY
– Meghan Hunscher will be attending
the October meeting.
TREE ORDINANCE – Processing of permits will go through Land
Use. There was discussion regarding
having a nursery in town.
STUDENT AFFILIATE – Larry Kornreich states that Hugh Merritt
send a draft of the qualifications to Dr. Freid.
NEW BUSINESS
ANJAC CONFERENCE – October 15 in Holmdel. The cost is $65.00.

CONSERVATION EASEMENTS – Mark
Mantyla currently enforces all building on conservation
easements. The Township Attorney, Bob
Oostydk was contracted if an ordinance needs to done.
OTHER ITEMS FOR
DISCUSSION
Meghan Hunscher
has requested the budget. There is need
for money for completion of the NRI.
