MINUTES
OF JULY 20, 2011

Meeting began promptly at 7:30pm.
ROLL CALL:

Present: Monica Mianecki, Sergio Angione, Vic
Canning (Acting Chairman), Angelo Intile, Hugh Merritt, Tim

Committee Reports
Board of Adjustment – Michele
Caron, absent, no report
Board of Education – Hugh Merritt
reports that the High school would like a list of definitive duties that are
needed from the students, ie academic requirements. Most of the landscaping is completed at the BOE Building.
Economic Development – Monica
Mianecki did not attend the last meeting. Sergio Angione met with Corey
Nachshen, Meghan Hunscher and Adam
Brewer regarding the NRI update. He also
states that ANJEC will match funds for in-kind work.
Health Department – Garry Annibal
absent, no report.
Open Space Committee – Angelo
Intile reports the trails masterplan will be discussed at the Planning Board
meeting on July 28.
Planning Board – Vic Canning
states that there has been nothing on the planning board level involving
environmental issues.

On a motion made by Sergio Angione and seconded by Monica
Mianecki, the June 15, 2011 minutes were approved by voice vote.

INVENTORY
Corey Nachshen will come and do a
presentation when the Township is ready.
OPEN SPACE PLAN
NEW BUSINESS
RECYCLING ASSISTANCE TO THE TOWNSHIP – Ideas – Tim Braden states that businesses are required to
recycle. Vic Canning states that hiring kids
to hand out flyers to area businesses with the rules could work. Angelo Intile suggests having signs put up
that state “recycling today”. He also
suggests cutting garbage pick up to one day a week to get more people to
recycle.
REVIEW OF THE TOWNSHIP’S TREE ORDINANCE – The members will
look over Garry Annibal’s letter and respond for the August meeting.
