Township of Montville

The Township of Montville is pleased to announce the 2013 Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 29, 2013.  The region’s premier fireworks display and signature community event will take place in Community Park, beginning at approximately 9:30 PM.

In prior years, the Independence Day celebration was administered by an independent, not-for-profit corporation, known as Montville Township 4^th of July Committee, Inc. in cooperation with the Township of Montville and dozens of volunteers.  This is an example of one of many collaborative, public-private partnerships that make this community great.  As a result of the Montville Township 4^th of July Committee, Inc., no longer being a viable corporation, a new independent entity must be established to carry the full three day event forward.  The community is indebted to the countless volunteers who have helped to make the celebration a success over the past decades.

During this transition period the Township of Montville will ensure that the foremost fireworks show in our area occurs.  Garden State Fireworks is already preparing an impressive display, for which Montville Township is known for far and wide and once a new organization is formed, we look forward to the return of the weekend-long celebration in 2014.
