attended the meeting.
- Stream Monitoring
& Watershed Ambassador – Larry Kornreich updated the commission that
James Miller a teacher at Montville
Township High
School will be updating Larry Kornreich as to what has
been done through reports of water monitoring from Montville Township
High School
class. Also spoke to Mr. Miller
about upcoming environmental projects that could be done with Montville Township High School.
- Water &
Aquifer Project – Hugh Merritt updated commission that Endangered Species
Monitoring program which will be coming up and the date is to be
determined, the commission decided that they will be backing up this
program. Also Hugh Merritt is creating a draft email to ask Tom Mazzaccaro
to speak to the Commission about the aquifer.
- Paper Recycling
Project – Michele Caron updated the commission on Angelo Intile
behalf. Michele Caron received and
email from Mr. Intile that stated that the company Shred It is willing to come in and provide a truck and will
charge five dollars per carton and then will give money collected that day
back to township so that township can give the money to a charity.
- NJ Solar Power
Inc – Project – Sergio Angione updated the commission that there are two
companies Geogentics and Green Power and that will come to township
committee meetings in January.
- Computer
Recycling – Michele Caron updated the commission that computer recycling
will take place the day after Arbor Day in April, which is the last
Saturday of April.
- ZSPP/FCD01-08
JLJ&J Marketing (Kids R Kids) –
217 Changebridge Rd-
completed or not needed to discuss anymore and will be removed from
ZSPP/FDC07-08
Lowes (Avila/Nemeth GI Auto) –
85 Bloomfield Ave.-completed or not needed to discuss anymore (do I just
remove them)?
Update on Budget
Request to Township Committee- Michele Caron updated commission that the
Environmental Commission budget is $1,000.
The Budget covers the ANJEC fees and the secretary. Commission came
to agreement that they would submit request to township committee
- Update on
PSE&G - ROW – ANJEC suggested that Environmental Commission make a
statement about the Power lines, Donna Ambriano researched the
environmental dangers. Donna Ambriano was asked to create a statement that
would represent the Environmental Commission and there concerns.

- Attendance
for township commission-Tim Braden
updated the commission that the township committee needs attendance from
the environmental commission for the upcoming year.
- Tree
Removal Appeals Board- Tim Braden
updated commission that the township committee would like a member from
the Environmental Commission to be on the Tree Removal Appeals Board;
Sergio Angione volunteered to be on the board.
- Sewer & Water
Rate Increase -Michele Caron updated that this was postponed and
Commission decided that they would not discuss this subject.
Scheduling for 2009-

Tree City Application 2009-
Michele Caron updated that the signs were six hundred dollars; Tim Braden suggested that Michele should submit
the request to the Township Administrator.
Endangered
salamanders - Request for Assistance – Hugh Merritt indicated this was
what he discussed above.
Project Porch light
– January Program – Michele Caron updated the commission that many groups
from the town will be attending Project Porch light.
Mission Statement-
Larry Kornreich asked if mission statement was discussed in last months
meeting, it was discussed last month Michele Caron asked for a more
personalized statement. Larry
Kornreich asked for comments to create a mission statement.
