The Housing Committee and Housing Administrator manage the affordable housing marketing and rental programs within Rachel Gardens, Montville Chase, Hunting Hills, Jade Mountain and Longview.

The Township has 229 existing single-family condo homes within Montville Chase, Hunting Hills, Longview and Jade Mountain. Waiting lists are maintained when any of these units are offered for sale Priority is established by the date the initial application was received. You will be contacted when your name is within the top 15 for each housing category (1-3 low thru moderate). We do not give out what number you are on the list due to the volume of names. Financial certification is valid for 180 days, with renewals of 180 days and beyond.

Do not send in any financial data or fees when registering your interest application.

There are 168 rental apartments (efficiency - 3 bedroom, low/moderate) at Rachel Gardens on Chapin Road. This is the ONLY rental component in the Township. If you are interested in being put on the waiting list, fill out the application and return it to Montville. The Housing Office maintains a waiting list for all interested people by bedroom and income category. When a rental unit becomes available, the computer generated priority listing is sent to Rachel Gardens. Rachel Gardens will contact you direct to come in for financial certification interviews.
