Independence Day Celebration Returns

With great anticipation, Montville Township’s Vincent Maffucci, the newly appointed President of the Montville Township Independence Day Celebration Committee, a group of township residents, business owners and leaders, announced the return of the Montville Township Independence Day three-day Celebration, which will include great food, entertainment, rides and our renowned fireworks display.

Victor Canning, Montville Township’s Administrator, upon hearing the good news, stated, on behalf of the Township Committee, that he would like to thank all the volunteers for their efforts and hard work to make this annual tradition possible once again.  Mr. Canning and Mr. Maffucci both thanked Lakeland Bank, which once again has committed to be a major sponsor of this year’s Independence Day three-day Celebration.

The new Montville Township Independence Day Celebration Committee, Inc., is a not-for-profit volunteer organization that has been working very hard to bring back a Montville Tradition, where everyone from the very young to old enjoy three fun filled days, with their family, friends and neighbors enjoying our great nation’s birthday.  Anyone interested in volunteering and/or donating to this great event or for daily updates is welcome to visit the website: www.montville4th.com.

This year’s 2014 Independence Day Celebration will take place from Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, June 28, with a rain date for the fireworks on Sunday, June 29.

Mr. Maffucci closed by stating "come one, come all, and be part of the great Montville Tradition."
